Fund Alex, Jibril, and Jeff's Journey to Muay Thai Glory

Hello friends, family, and Muay Thai community,

We are Alex, Jibril, and Jeff – three passionate Muay Thai athletes who have been given the honor of a lifetime: the chance to represent Team USA at the IFMA Senior World Championships, often called the Olympics of Muay Thai. This is a dream come true for us. After years of dedication, countless hours of training, and success in national competitions, we have earned our spots to compete on the world stage. Now, we’re reaching out to our community for a little help to make this journey possible.

Our Journey to the World Stage

Muay Thai isn’t just a sport to us – it’s our passion and our life’s work. We’ve each been training for many years, pushing through early mornings and late nights at the gym, balancing work and school, and persevering through injuries and setbacks. All of that hard work led to this moment: the opportunity to fight among the world’s best at the IFMA World Championships. It’s an incredible honor to represent the USA, and we are training harder than ever to make our country and community proud.

This championship is truly the pinnacle of our sport. Teams from over a hundred countries will gather at the IFMA World Championships, creating an atmosphere much like the Olympics. Walking into the ring wearing “USA” on our backs is a responsibility we cherish – we want to give everything we have and bring home victory for everyone supporting us.

Why We Need Your Support

Competing at this level comes with significant expenses. We’ve personally covered most of our athlete fees – approximately $2,000 each – which include tournament registration, training camps, gear, and lodging. We’ve poured our savings and income into making sure we could seize this chance. As of now, the last major expense remaining is our airfare. The combined cost of airline tickets for the three of us is about $4,500, and this is where we humbly ask for your help.

Covering ~$4,500 in airfare on our own is a big challenge after already stretching our finances to cover the other costs. We are doing everything we can – picking up extra hours at work, teaching private lessons, and saving every dollar – but we’re concerned that taking on too much extra work could lead to burnout or injury right before the competition. The stress of financing the trip is starting to weigh on us, and we want to approach the World Championships with full focus and energy.
