Fund Ahmed's Leap from Gaza to Chicago

Hi there,

My name is Mohammed. I am a civil engineer working in Chicago but who is originally from Gaza. I am starting this fundraiser for my dear brother Ahmed who is still in Gaza and has hope for a better tomorrow.

I really don't know where to start with this. These past 7 months have been a living hell for everyone in Gaza my brother and family included. Before the war, Ahmed was co-running a small engineering consulting firm that specializes in designing residential dwellings. He also had many passions outside of his work as an architect, he had a passion for poetry, languages, and taking care of animals (he raised 4 cats all by himself!!!)

As I mentioned before, the war did not come without its price for Ahmed. He lost his job and any sense of normalcy he had in his life and now he found himself in a reality that was so hard to accept.

Ahmed's neighbor's house was bombed and caused severe damage to his house.

Despite all of that, Ahmed showed incredible resiliency and decided to help others in a time of dire need. He's been volunteering at a UN food and shelter center since the start of the war, helping families in need in any way he can.

Now that you learned a bit about Ahmed, he needs your help. He deserves a better life where doesn't have to worry about his safety. With your help, Ahmed will leave Gaza and enroll in a construction management master's degree at UIC where he will be living with me to save on rent.
