My name is John Lindahl. I am an independent artist and am about to release my first independent album/miniseries/film. In "JOHN LINDAHL'S CULT CLASSIQUÉ", I have created an entire world, not just music (much like Charlie Chaplin or John Carpenter's "Halloween").

The album is releasing on Friday, October 13th, 2023. This body of work is the first project I've done that I felt could not exist without a film to tell the story of JOHNNY (think Edward Scissorhands meets Michael Jackson meets Halloween's Michael Myers). Every song was created with a vivid scene in my mind that propelled the story forward. The film will be released in parts as a miniseries, starting the same day as the release of the album. It pays homage to the inherent charm of 80's thriller/horror movies as well as to the incredible music of the 80's, leaning especially heavy into "Michael Jackson style" dance music videos within the film. This entire vision was written for you and me. I want you to know me. My innermost thoughts and my darkest emotions. The things we all feel but are afraid to say out loud. Those who have heard the music have asked why I’m hiding behind the mask of JOHNNY. However, in reality, OPENING NIGHT (my debut album when I was signed to Def Jam) was the mask. JOHNNY is who I am when I take the mask off.
