Why I’m Raising Funds: The Mission Behind Still Here
Hi, I’m Jasmine—though in the literary world, many know me as Sonesta Wilde.
Author. Poet. Founder of Sonesta Wilde Studios.
And most importantly… a survivor of the night.
There were seasons of my life where I wasn’t sure I’d make it to the next sunrise.
Moments when the world felt unbearably heavy.
What helped me stay?
Safe spaces.
Mental health care.
Gentle reminders that I mattered—even when I couldn’t feel it myself.
That’s why I created Still Here—a campaign dedicated to life-affirming reminders, wearable encouragement, and collective care.
This isn’t just about launching a brand—it’s about saving lives, normalizing vulnerability, and building a community where people feel seen, supported, and celebrated for surviving.
Why Now?
I was going to wait to launch this campaign closer to Suicide Prevention Month…
But after hearing the devastating news that the 988 Crisis Lifeline is cutting its LGBTQ+ youth line, I realized:
This can’t wait.
Mental health resources are shrinking while need is rising.
I’m not willing to stay quiet.
I’m not willing to wait.
What You’re Helping Me Build...
With your support, I’ll be able to:
- Produce the first collection of life-affirming shirts and stationery, featuring messages like “You Matter,” “Please Stay,” “You Are More Than the Night You’ve Endured,” “Don’t Let Your Pain Convince You That You’re Finished,” and much more
- Donate a portion of the proceeds to mental health services, including LGBTQ+, youth, African Americans, other marginalized communities, and crisis organizations
- Cover essential launch costs, from product production and samples to packaging and outreach
- Support me and my small but mighty team, helping us grow this into a full-time mission
- Fund early marketing efforts to amplify this mission and reach more people who need these reminders
- Sustain this work long-term, because survival, softness, and community care should never be a passing trend
Why $11,000?
I chose the initial goal of $11,000 with intention.
In numerology, 11 symbolizes alignment, purpose, and stepping into your calling.
But this isn’t just about me—it’s about building something bigger:
A brand rooted in survival and softness.
A brand built on the belief that opening our hearts paves the way for healing.
A movement reminding people:
You are still here, and that is something beautiful.
How You Can Help:
- Donate whatever you can—every dollar counts. Even $1 makes a difference.
- Share this campaign with someone who believes in this mission.
- Join me in reminding people that survival deserves to be celebrated.
In short:
Your support helps me create something that extends beyond products.
It helps normalize conversations around mental health, give back to critical resources, and remind people everywhere that hope is real and help is real.
Thank you for standing with me in this.
Thank you for helping me build something life-saving.
Together, we rise.
Together, we stay.
Together, we heal.
