Change Dwight's Life w. Robotic Assistive Tech

Hello all,
My name is Brianna Carter and you may know me as a family member, friend or coworker. You may not know that my father, Dwight Carter, experienced an earth shattering event 5 years ago that robbed him entirely of his independence.

As a result of a car accident, Dwight is paralyzed from the shoulders down. 10 months ago, I signed up for a waiting list for a device called MouthPad. On 2/26, I received the wonderful news that it is now available to us, at a price.

Technology exists for quadriplegic patients, but financial barriers tend to make independence feel unattainable. It is easy to take for granted the ability to scroll through a phone, and the MouthPad is a device that allows for phones to be controlled by the tongue. I write this message to request your support financially, to help my father fulfill not only his needs but some wants. Being able to privately use his own device would be a huge contributor to maintaining his mental health through this difficult transition. Your kind words and shows of support go a long way. While MouthPad is the goal of this fundraiser, I have shared some links below in reference to other technologies we are interested in. Thank you for reading Dwight's story.
