I'm raising £2,000 for a refrigerated medical support vehicle for dual purpose evacuation and medical logistics in embattled areas of Ukraine.

The vehicle I'm raising money for is a 2012 long wheel base Fiat Ducato with an insulated refrigerated cargo area. It can be used for the transport of medical supplies that need to be kept chilled or it can be used for evacuations and other logistical work. Being refrigerated though expands it usefulness across many areas.

It was a great deal at only £1100. It has been off the road since 2018 as it was used for cold storage at a farm shop. Therefore it has spent just 6 years on the road in total. The chassis is in great condition. It does require some maintenance to get it back on the road. It needs new tyres, a service and an MOT. I've received an estimate for £700 to do everything. The air conditioning unit will require a service as well although this can be done in Ukraine.

My name is Sinclair Page and I've made almost 60 trips to Ukraine in the last 3 years. After a couple of trips helping with evacuations I began to deliver pickup trucks and ambulances for the frontline defenders. There is a huge demand for British four wheel drive and logistics vehicles. This Fiat Van for instance cost me just £1100. In Ukraine a similar vehicle in the open market would could cost up to $10,000. This is because of local import taxes and scarcity of supply. Our old right hand drive vehicles soon lose their value once they reach a certain age. This make them ideal for Ukraine as humanitarian vehicles are not subject to the usual import taxes.

I am a registered volunteer in Ukraine and affiliated with a local charity 'BAM' which means 'YOU' in English. I take pickup trucks, logistics vehicles, generators and whatever humanitarian aid that people have collected from the UK all the way to Ukraine. Pickup trucks tend to be self funded by soldiers and their relatives. These are the priority vehicles that are essential for everyday transport in the difficult off road conditions that exist at the front. Any other vehicle that is not an immediate priority takes second place despite being absolutely essential. It falls upon the shoulders of charities and volunteers to fund and supply such equipment. I am reaching out to you for a donation towards this great value vehicle that will be put to work evacuating and supplying essential medical supplies.
