Fund a flight to my hospitalized Mom

     On Christmas Eve 2021 my mother, who lives in PA, went into the hospital because she'd fallen on her knee and nearly broke her tibia. They scanned her, had her for a few days doing PT and things. Then the night before she was scheduled to come home, tragically she fell badly (in the hospital). She had bleeding on her brain and was in the icu for nearly a week. She still has not been able to return home though due to the severity of the TBI (memory loss, hallucinations, lots of confusion) and some other complications. 

     I have been trying to find some kind of time and resources to fly to see her since January. I have had to wait at times myself due to my own many doctors visits, some soon to be scheduled surgeries, hydrotherapy, etc. Additionally, I cannot travel alone, really, and can't drive more than 15 minutes. Things are coming together for me a bit, very slowly, but the main hurdle remains purchasing plane tickets. Originally I was trying to get the 4 of us to go, I know my mom wants to see the boys and it would help with her memory, which is now finally, slowly improving. However, the cost of plane tickets continues to soar, so unless something unexpected happens, just Bobby and I will go for now. 

     I just need to see my mom, and I also very much need to talk to her doctor and care team urgently. I am working on the ROI form so I can communicate by phone. This has all been incredibly challenging for us all, especially my dad who is 87 and trying to take care of it all. He needs some support as much as my mom. My mom has always been the rock of the family, taking care of others. She's been in hospitals for almost 6 months now. So, if you are able to donate to this, I greatly appreciate it. I have a large $# for it because airline tickets continue to be volatile, and with my injuries and accommodations, I have to be picky about the flights, 0-1 layovers max, and no long layovers. Even with my walker, I have very little stamina still. Also I need to go soon, and the ones 2-3 months out are already around $650+ As soon as we have an amount that will purchase tickets we will post an update! If there is anything left over it will go to gas, hotel at the airport before leaving, small meals, tickets for Will and Sam if a minor miracle occurs, or a rental car if needed. And definitely to take my dad out for a burger, and take a favorite snack to my mom ❤️ 

I hate doing this kind of thing, ugh! But it is what it is, being out of work for a year, paying my health insurance out of pocket each month, and many $1,000s in copays and such has us in a very tight spot. Any help you can give is appreciated more than I can say! I absolutely understand not everyone can help financially, we are always taking good vibes, encouragement, prayers, and all the lifting up we can get. It's been so hard, but we're all still here!
