Fund a Female Artist's Japanese Art Quest

Buying Art is a Luxury and for Artist’s, it’s a necessity. We need ART like we need air. Artist need to be inspired and need time devoted to their craft. Many artists are working their second job to maintain and support their living. I want to give hope to lost individuals and guide them through their lost or newfound creative journey. This book is not a typical guide book, it will give inspiration to an artistic journey. Creating Art is essential for life, and you can help support me by funding me on this life-changing Artistic Journey.

Why this needs to be created:
In the beginning of this Autumn, September of 2025, I am journeying to Japan. This venture will be a three-week Art-focused research expedition. Whilst researching and preparing for this trip, I searched and searched and yet could not find a travel guide: not just a standard travel guide, but a travel guide for artists looking to enrich themselves and dedicate themselves simply to Art. Japan has a rich culture and its diversity of art is everywhere. From the history and origin of calligraphy to new contemporary art forms, such as installation art that immerses the viewer in a completely new dimension by integrating the pop culture of social media. My intention is to dive deeply into Japan’s culture and their way of Art. There are thousands of travel guides throughout the world, all written in countless languages. Yet, there are no books targeted at artists that want to travel, no guides to experience an artistic journey to wherever they desire. I am going to create a travel guide solely dedicated to the pursuit of ART, not just a guide for the typical tourist but for the artist in every one of us.

“THE FIRST TRAVEL GUIDE FOR ARTIST & HOBBYISTS: FOCUSED ON CURATED SELECTION OF EXPERIENCES DESGINED TO IGNITE YOUR CREATIVTY, BROADEN YOUR ARTISTIC PERSPECTIVE ALL WHILE KEEPING BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTIONS IN MIND. THIS GUIDE WILL HELP YOU CREATE A JOURNEY THAT IS UNFORGETTABLE.”

Demographic:
Whether you’re an artist, someone that's interested in the Arts, someone stuck in life and in need of a life-changing adventure, or someone who wants to travel to Japan to specifically learn and be inspired by the history and different types of art. This guide will ultimately lead you through Japan and their world of ART.

When I found Art:
I discovered my passion for Art when I was traveling through Switzerland in 2001. The beauty of their land and natural waterfalls were mind-blowingly majestic. That is when life was fulfilling. Not money, which cannot buy happiness, but discovering Art in its natural raw form. In short, after decades of studying art, my love for expressing art has grown and evolved. I am an influencer on Instagram, and currently an Ambassador for Holbein Artist Materials. Holbein is a high-end Japanese artist supply brand where I am honored by practicing and expressing my figures and portraits with Holbein’s artist supplies. My love for quality is a major factor in the brands I use to create my artwork.

My work is influenced by Asian Art, and it has been pivotal component alongside my cultural upbringing. I have always longed to travel to Japan and immerse myself it it’s arts and culture. With my guide, my purpose is to provide artists and art enthusiasts with a way to bring back what they may have lost or recharge the desire for inspiration.
This creation will take me hundreds of hours over the course of the next several months. I plan to be fully finished and published within a year by focusing and dedicating my time to this guide. Before I begin my artist journey, I am conducting an extensive amount of research, diving into another country where 90% of the nation speaks Japanese and transportation is mostly done by foot, bus, and trains. My objective is to create an itinerary as a “solo female artist” and providing a guide to Japan’s Art World. Their diverse accommodations can seem surreal in America. Navigating around Japan from backpacking, to hotels, to inns, to onsens, to ryokans, to overnight bus travel, to bullet trains that go up to 250 mph, to even tiny time capsules! (which, sadly, is mainly for men) can be daunting. Their customs and culture from traveling, eating, sleeping, and being respectful to one another is a huge part of etiquette in Japan. All tourists should respect and do their best to understand and be mindful of visiting another culture. This guide will be vital for artists in learning the do’s and don’t within Japan.

Why I truly need funding!
As an artist, I want to be able to dedicate and create this specialized travel guide for other artists and aficionados. Your support will help me focus and allow me the freedom to devote my entire focus to finding the best art stores, museums and specialty products. I plan on visiting multiple artist supply stores, immersing in things that are made in Japan, traveling to more than 50 museums and exhibitions. Taking artist workshops, such as ink grinding, paper making, understanding the art of sushi, and their love for the art of origami. Traveling to artist districts which are located outside of main towns and how to use the transportation to get there. I plan to take pictures in Japan’s artist residencies and how it’s established and understand their true form of art. My travel guide will be dedicated to us artists, dedicated purely to the “Artist World.” This travel guide will encourage artists to go beyond their limits, allowing them to express their Art form at a wholly different angle, letting them and their Art transform completely. I plan to also integrate display my own personal drawings from traveling through The Land of the Rising Sun.

From this success:
*** With the success from my finished "Take an Artistic Journey to Japan" will help me create other travel guides. Imagine, my next destination and creating an artist travel guide to my ancestral Land, South Korea and possibly my journey back to the origin, Switzerland where my personal artist journey began. ***
