Hi
My Name is Robin, the lovely little guy above is George the dog. He very sadly passed away on 22/09/2025 after 3 years of living with me (his spare dad!).
George previously belonged to my good friend John Dolan (they are his legs in the photo that apparently doesnt fit right) who was an artist. His story involved homelessness and hard times, which took a turn when he adopted George the Dog. They were famous in the street art world, after John was seen selling his sketches of George on Shoreditch High Street. He then did many collaboration works with major street artists including STIK, Thierry Noir, RUN, Mehdi Ghadyanloo and many many others. They had shows with Howard Griffin Gallery and the works (street scenes of London with George in every one) were sold around the world and have even made it into Christies over the last few years.
This then led to the release of a book called John and George, the dog who changed my life. Which was sold in multiple languages.
Sadly John passed away in 2022, and George landed in police custody. After 3 months of me trying to track him down, with the help of others! He turned up with a charity called dogs on the streets, who had contacted Streetvet (heros!) as they had been looking after him while he was with John. Streetvet contacted me as i also had been in contact, and helped me to adopt George and keep him safely in the company of a friend he had known for years.
I had 3 amazing years with him, and many adventures. but sadly he fell to a chest infection we just couldn't beat, and i had no choice but to let him go. The most heartbreaking loss i think i ever felt!
I would like to fund a burial and a headstone, so that i can get some of his story on it and make sure the little guys history can be seen by those who visit the pet cemetery. Which im hoping will be between his old home of Shoreditch and his recent home with me on the south coast. I have also made sure anyone is allowed to visit, in case anyone wants to say goodbye as im sure some will. (i still need togo check it out, but this is the best option i have found).
Could use a little help to keep the little guys story with him where rests.
RIP George the Dog, you leave a huge hole in my heart matey.
