Hello Derby World!

We are 15 Ronins, an Open Gender Team from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I am Optimus Quad, their captain. I have been very lucky and have skated all over the world. But most of our skaters have never played outside of Argentina.

We have a dream to play at MRDA Champs. But to do this, we have to leave South America to get our registering games and build our rankings. There are no MRDA teams to sanction against in South America and as a result, we must travel incredibly long distances to compete.

So..... we are coming to Europe! We plan to play as many European teams as we can. This is the first step in making our dream become a reality.

We are coming to MRDA Champs in Newcastle, England as spectators this October. We then have plans to play 7 European MRDA teams so far, with a potential 3 others. We are still in discussion but are hoping to finalize our schedule in the coming weeks.

To get there, we need help from patrons to help us with the financial side of things. The economic state of Argentina makes it very difficult for us to travel to play roller derby. Historically, many of the national team skaters haven't managed to skate for their country because of this. (For anyone who remembers, the 2014 Argentina Men's World Cup team consisted of only 8 skaters!) So we have to ask the World Wide Derby community for some assistance.

We are asking for donations to become a PATRON to put toward our travel fund. This will help get us to Europe and house us whilst we travel.

Friend of the team, Lindsey Mueller, is organizing this fundraiser in order to purchase tickets on our behalf. If we are unable to attend, donations will be refunded. Donations will be used exclusively for flight tickets and hotel rooms for 15 Ronins players.
