Fun run for the Sidcup Speak-ability group

Donation protected
Hello,
We are doing this fun run to raise money for our dad/uncles stroke support group - Sidcup speak-ability group.
Aphasia affects an estimated 350,000 people in the UK from stroke and a further 50,000 people in the UK from other causes.
The group has changed our dads
/uncles mindset to his stroke, given him so much more confidence with his speech, put him in touch with others going through similar symptoms and supports so many on a weekly basis to grow, feel seen, heard and included, share experiences, develop new skills, learn about their condition and tactics to support them.
From seeing the group ourselves, we can say it is an emotional, heart warming and eye opening experience. The volunteers are incredible people, that support everyone on an individual basis to work on what they personally need to improve, whilst also bringing joy, laughter and a sense of belonging to those going through communication, speech and confidence issues. The volunteers work tirelessly to keep this group running, welcoming new members frequently and supporting families through traumatising times.
However, if you were in the room you would not know what all these amazing humans had been through, from the laughter, jokes and sense of family in the room.
We could not be more grateful for what the Sidcup Speakability Group has done for our dad/uncle, thank you all.
Anything you could do to help would be gratefully received,
We thank you in advance,
The Firths x
