Fun Run for Harlem Lacrosse

In lieu of any presents for my 22nd birthday, I am asking friends and family members to participate, donate and join me in raising money for Harlem Lacrosse through a virtual 5k Fun Run/Walk on July 26th.
The wake of this pandemic has not only exposed the inequalities that run deep in this country, but also the suffering it has brought has affected individuals disproportionately leaving many communities disrupted. Harlem Lacrosse's mission is simple: "to empower the children who are most at risk for academic decline and dropout to rise above their challenges and reach their full potential. Harlem Lacrosse inspires children to dream about tomorrow while working hard on the field and in the classroom today." Having spent time as a coach and tutor, I can wholeheartedly attest to the work of this organization and the way it changes students' lives by actively supporting each individual to achieve his / her potential both on and off the field.
For those able, the participation "fee" (donation) for the 5k Fun Run is $10 / $25 and any additional donation will also go directly to Harlem Lacrosse to help make an impact. My goal is to raise $2,200 dollars to aid any immediate needs for Harlem Lacrosse as the organization begins to tackle how it can best serve its student-athletes this summer and into the academic year.
