Vickery Family Fundraiser

As many in the community have learned about the journey the Vickery family is navigating, we recognize there are many who want to offer support and love. Please know the family appreciates the outpouring of concern and love being offered to them during this challenging time. If you would like to support their family, in lieu of any flowers, food, or gifts, they are graciously accepting contributions to the Vickery Family Fundraiser, a fund that is fully focused on supporting the three Vickery girls: Mallory, Hazel, and Rosie.

For those who are unaware, Becca received her melanoma cancer diagnosis in September of 2017. She had a dedicated team of doctors who helped her navigate this complicated disease for six and a half years. She underwent three brain surgeries and numerous other treatments to try and fight the cancer that had spread to her brain, until it became inoperable. In the early morning of Thursday, March 28, 2024, surrounded by her husband and family, Becca passed away. She was 35 years old.

Becca was married to Joe Vickery. They met at the University of Cincinnati while participating in a service trip to El Salvador. They shared nearly 15 years by each other's side, living each day as the closest of friends, supportive spouses, and loving parents. Their three children, Mallory (10yrs), Hazel (8yrs), and Rosie (6yrs), though very different in character, can’t help but light up a room, and their mother’s bright spirit continues to shine through each of them in unique ways.

It is our intention to support this young family in an impactful and lasting way. A consistent theme in Becca’s life was an appreciation for experience and education. She found value in moments shared, not things. In celebration of her legacy, all funds collected will go directly to the Vickery family to be used for experiential travel and higher education for each of her three daughters.
