After having to move from our location, the Fulton Soup Kitchen was in desperate need for a permanent home. Thankfully, we found it! Caseys offered to give us their old building on 4th street.
However, the excitement quickly dwindled when we were quoted a cost of $1,700 by the City of Fulton for a deposit on the utilities. The Fulton Soup Kitchen is ran by volunteers, without the help of our community we wouldn't be able to help those in need. Many of our volunteers have paid for expenses out of their own money but unfortunately $1,700 is just unrealistic for us to cover.
We are asking for the communities help and support in raising the funds to be able to get the power on so we can begin our remodel! The soup kitchen helps so many people in need, especially during the holidays when children don't have that school lunch.
Our goal is to offer a place of warmth and comfort for our community. A permanent home for those to come in, set down in a family style atmosphere and feel like their part of one large family, a place that feels like home!
We are hoping to raise $2,000 to cover the cost of utilities and our construction permit. Every little bit helps and brings us closer to our goal of providing to the community. If you are unable to donate, please share and help us reach this goal!
