Full Time short film

Welcome to 'Full Time'.

If you have ended up here you are probably my friend or at least you like me which is way cool. I like me too, so we have that in common, but enough about me (kinda). Lets talk about this project. It's a short film!

 

What is the story?

This fable is about an internal struggle between financial stability and personal fulfillment. A mysterious man offers a young skateboarder a gig to stand in a square all day. Soon this becomes a permanent position, and the skater rises the ranks in the square-standing world. But as he becomes more committed to his job—and makes more and more money—his life slips from his grasp.

 

About me

I'm a huge fan of high concept art. I like being able to use high concepts as frame work and then fill in the spaces with real life drama. I've been making short form content for about 12 years now and professionally for about 7 years. I love entertaining people through videos since high school. I started by stealing my mom's new expensive camera and filming my friends skate. I was probably the worst one of the group, but I was allowed on some skate trips because I had that mom's camera. That felt right to me. I would film a day of skating and make videos. Playing a video I had made produced such a rush for me, I can't describe it. Till today when I make a video and press play for an audience that rush still hits me. The goal is to make higher and high quality content for everyone to enjoy. 

 

The money

The total budget for the film is 20k however I have 15k already saved up and ready to go. For this goal I am asking for a total of 5k to pay for the cast, crew, location, travel and more. With your help, I can make this short film and put your name in the credits as a special thanks. I'll obviously invite you to every screening even if its out of town for you. 65 year old skateboarder from California, Neal has been in numerous music videos and commercials. This will be his theatrical debut in playing the older version of Andrew Lutheran.


Iddo Goldberg
You've seen him in 'Peaky Blinders', 'Snowpiercer', 'Westworld' and more.



Belle Aykroyd
You've seen her in 'Highway one', 'Workin' moms' and 'A Touch of the Poet' on broadway.

Previs  - This stands for "Pre visual" it's a shoot that is done with stand-ins and photos instead of video. We shot this on just an iPhone to get an idea of how the story will flow. On lower budget short films this makes the actual day of production miles easier, faster and ultimately cheaper. Consider this a test and a visual flow of story. Enjoy :)
