Full Recovery for Cindy

As you may already know, earlier this year, Cindy suffered a spinal injury due to a severe infection in her spine. This left her paralyzed immediately after surgery. Fortunately, she quickly showed signs of movement and has continued to recover. At this time, we expect her to be fully independent in the coming months.

This injury has kept Cindy from working until now, and will for a number of months. This has all resulted in ~$50K in medical expenses. While we expect most of those medical expenses to be covered through her medishare plan, there is no guarantee. Additionally, her loss of income is substantial. At this time, Kansas unemployment is denying her any monetary benefits. She is currently in the appeals process. 

Many have indicated their desire to help. In fact, many contributed to a GoFundMe that was setup to help with initial funds (https://www.gofundme.com/f/supporting-cindy?utm_campaign=p_lico+share-sheet+spider2c&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer). It has taken time to know what her full needs would be. Now that we know, we are ready to send out this new GoFundMe to ask for support with the remaining amount needed.

Cindy is humbled and grateful for all the support she has received, including my request to create this GoFundMe so that more people can support her.
