Hello, my name is Aaron Gagné and I am representing my band Full Gagné.
Many of you are aware that I have been making music for the past 30+ years. In this time I’ve played countless shows and tours with over 14 bands and solo artists. I’ve also played on numerous albums and compilations. While all of this has been amazing, I am finally launching my first recording project that features my own voice. This has been a goal for many years. I am thrilled that this goal is finally in sight. The last six months have been amazing. I am at the realization that I cannot complete this process on my own. At the moment, we are working on one song called called “Scam Likely”. This is the first original song for the band, and it has gone through various transformations in the past few years. I am very pleased with what our coproducer and engineer Pete Andrews has come up with in the studio. On this Scam Likely I have laid down drums, percussion and lead vocals. Pete has added guitar & piano. Other essential elements, such as keyboard and bass will be added. We are both pleased with the direction this is headed. While we are working on this one song I would love to turn this into a 3 to 5 song EP or a full length album. At this point that is not feasible with current funding. You should know that this is the first time I have ever done a fundraiser like this. I have supported numerous Kickstarter’s and gofundme music projects over the years. Some bands I had contributed to numerous projects. I understand that many of you like to give anonymously. That is my preferred method as well. However you choose to donate, whether anonymous or making it public, all of it will be greatly appreciated. I cannot begin to tell you how encouraged I am by the last six months. The mountain tops moments far outweigh the valleys, and I am thankful.
Thank you in advance for your support and please share this as much as you can.
Much love and be encouraged today.
Aaron on behalf of Full Gagné.
FAQ’s
Q. What will the funds be going to?
A. Recouping the costs of recording, lodging, gas, tolls, food. Funds will also be going to mixing, mastering, producing, physical copies, promotional material, as well as adding more songs in the future as well as an album. For now, we begin with the one song in the hopes of adding more.
Q. It says you’re raising $25,000 but your goal said $3500.00 when it began. What’s up with that?
A. Gofundme automatically adjusts to smaller goals when persons or projects begin a campaign. That is the reason for the initial $3500 goal.
Of course It would be wonderful to surpass 25K.
Q. Why are you the only one representing the band?
A. As the singer/songwriter singer and promoter of this band I currently oversee all details pertaining to Full Gagné. Currently, members are working on a contracted basis.
Q. Why do you play with different members at various shows and open mics?
A. It comes down to musicians schedules. I am grateful for everyone who has contributed and is contributing.
Q. Don’t you have a solo project too? What’s the difference?
A. Full Gagné is a new wave post punk band. Think Thompson Thompson Twins, Echo and the Bunnymen, Men Without Hats and so many others. Aaron Gagné’s solo project plays various styles of music. For example, Aaron played a Blues show in Ephrata recently, and will be announcing another show there very soon. Essentially, Aaron Gagné can jump styles very easily. Thank WXPN radio.
Q. You set a fundraising goal of $25,000. Isn’t that a lot?
A. No. In fact, it is low for the recording goals I have for this band.
That should cover some basic questions. Thank you for your kindness over the years.
