Fulfilling the Dream of a Lifetime

My name is Anastasia Sereda, and I've dreamed of becoming an opera singer ever since I could remember. I have been offered the opportunity of a lifetime to be one of eight music students earning a MA at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. Since I discovered my singing voice and its potential, I've wanted to be the muse singing to soothe grief and heartache or to express deep feelings of love. What excites me is the emotion we hear in music; that is the universal language that brings us together, reaches our souls, and we as human beings respond. To be a student of this craft is humbling and an honor.

I am grateful beyond words for my teacher's and family's tremendous generosity and unwavering belief in me. Their direct support gives me the confidence to embark on this learning experience with a commitment to forging my professional career. Every donation is deeply appreciated and makes a substantial difference to my family members, who continue to be my foundation on this journey. The money raised will pay for boarding with local Irish families' homestays, purchase musical education supplies, piano accompanists fees, and a raincoat for the 271 days of predicted rain in Dublin.

I want to share my deep appreciation for everyone who has gotten me to where I am today; I'm indebted to those who inspired me to believe beyond my doubts and encourage me to continue my education.
