My name is Pamela, and I am writing this with the deepest grief. My beautiful mom recently passed away after suffering with pancreatic cancer. She was my best friend, my rock, and the strongest woman I have ever known.
Before I was born, my mom endured the heartbreak of losing her first daughter, Katiana Gabriela, who is buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Maryland. When I came into her life afterward, she always told me I was her rainbow baby, her miracle child who gave her hope after so much loss. She reminded me every day that I was her greatest gift.
My mom was a woman of faith and a deeply spiritual soul. She believed in God, in signs, and in the power of love beyond this life. She held on for as long as she could fighting through pain with courage and grace until her body could no longer carry her spirit. Even in her suffering, she never stopped encouraging me, never stopped loving me, and never stopped believing in a brighter future. Her greatest and final wish was to be buried beside Katiana Gabriela so that mother and daughter could finally rest together in peace. Right now, her body is in New York, and this fundraiser will help me fulfill her wish by transporting her to Maryland so she can be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery next to her baby girl.
I am her only living child, and I am carrying this on my own. I had to step back from college to grieve, to make arrangements, and to face responsibilities no young person should have to face alone. Emotionally and financially, it has been overwhelming.
I want to give my mom the dignity she deserves and fulfill her final wish. This fundraiser will help cover:
• Funeral and burial expenses
• Transportation to Maryland
• Securing her resting place beside Katiana Gabriela at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
• Relieving some of the financial strain so I can focus on grieving and healing
Even the smallest donation will make a difference. And if you are unable to give, please consider sharing this page to help me reach others who may be able to.
My mom gave me her whole heart. She called me her miracle. She held on for as long as she could but now it’s my turn to carry her legacy forward and give her the peace she deserves. With your help, she will finally be reunited in eternal rest with Katiana Gabriela, the daughter she never stopped loving.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading and supporting me in the hardest moment of my life.
