They say that all good things must come to an end, my mother Catalina and I had a good run together. Being not just her daughter, but her caretaker we became about as close as any mother and daughter could be.  I was given the blessing of getting to know her better than I could have ever imagined. 
Her life started in Spreckels, Ca on Sept. 6th, 1930, it ended today with my grandson Kenny by her bedside. My children and I will forever remember her with love and the beautiful memories that we made with her. 
As her health declined my need to be home with her increased.  I had to make a choice between my mother or my job. I could find another job, but I would never have another mother. Sharing our life with everyone on Raising Grandma has been a joy to write, I will miss our adventures.
But I have one more wish to fulfill and that is to give my mother the beautiful celebration of life she so deserves.  
I will be forever thankful for your help in closing this chapter for her life here on earth.
