Hello everyone,

As you all know, I decided to stop substack because the disease has progressed to a new level, which has made everyday living a huge challenge; however, I have been told to continue publishing for as long as I can, and to use this substack as a “go fund me” platform. For those who do not know, let me introduce myself, and I'm a 37-year-old loving husband and father of six incredible children. I am sharing my story with you today, not to evoke feelings of sorrow, but to ask you for genuine support in reaching a dream that seems impossible without your help.

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Parkinsonism. This relentless disease has disrupted the vibrancy of my life and has forced me into full-time care. The reality of this rare, progressive illness is daunting – not just for me, but for my family too. Each day is a struggle, but we push through, bound together by our love and resilience.

Amidst the challenging reality, I have one wish that I'm fervently hoping to fulfil: to visit, once again, the place where my wife and I fell in love. It was there, under the skies of the Lake District (UK), that moments were shared, and profound memories were created. It is these memories that keep us strong in these testing times. I would also love to see my family again, who live in the UK, many of whom cannot travel due to financial difficulties and illness. I live in Norway, and the opportunity to see my whole family again would be a great blessing.

Because of the nature and intensity of my illness, such a trip would require medical assistance. In other words, I would need a private nurse to travel with me. Unfortunately, the cost of this specialized healthcare service is far beyond our financial capabilities, and providing for our six children leaves little room for such luxuries.

This is where you come in.

I humbly request you to help us on this journey. Any contribution you can make would bring us a step closer to fulfilling this dying wish. The funds raised will go towards the nurse's travel expenses, their professional fee, and the cost of the amenities needed to cater to my medical needs during the trip.
