Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping two passionate artists, Cassandra and Kenny, travel to the Penland School of Craft this summer. This is a rare and incredible opportunity for them to grow in their artistic practices, gain new skills, and connect with a vibrant creative community.

About Penland:

Penland School of Craft is one of the nation’s most prestigious craft education centers, dedicated to the creative life. It offers immersive, intensive craft workshops taught by talented visiting artists in sixteen fully‑equipped studios. With a wide range of disciplines, from wood and ceramics to textiles, glass, metals, drawing, painting, photography, and more, Penland runs seasonal workshop sessions (spring, summer, fall) and hosts dozens of classes at varying lengths each year. Over 1,200 makers attend annually to deepen their craft, learn from renowned instructors, and foster community.

Kenny and Cassandra have been accepted into classes that align deeply with their individual paths as artists. But getting to Penland isn’t easy, especially for students and emerging artists balancing education, work, and creative practice.

We’re raising funds to cover the following essential costs:

Lodging during the program

School materials & supplies

Transportation to and from Penland

Meals and daily essentials
