On Monday, January 11th, the world changed forever for Matthew and Elsie Logan. After a month of being short of breath the doctor called Matthew and explained they had found something in his lungs. He immediately rushed to the hospital at the doctors request. They had found a solid tissue mass and after multiple biopsies and tests they found out that he had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma (A.L.L.). The cancer had spread from his blood to his lympnodes. His oncologist suggested that he be moved to the Markey Cancer Center and through a miracle, he got a room there in 12 hours.
He now has a team of doctors that have come up for a very aggresive and long treatment plan to kill this cancer and cure him completely. Unfortunately, the road will be very tough for Matthew and his wife, Elsie.
In less than a week, Matthew went from hanging out with friends to in a hospital bed on chemo therapy. The doctors told him if he had not found this cancer, he would have less than 3 months to live. 
While he is being treated at Markey, he is unable to work. Elsie spends most days and nights with Matthew to care and keep him comfortable. The medical bills will continue to pile up as he is cured from this cancer.
