For 23 years, Community Storehouse has been a beacon of hope in our community, distributing over 3 million meals. We nourish our community with on-site groceries & home deliveries, enrich kids' lives with unique programs and stand firm in our commitment to seniors and disabled members of Southside Virginia.

Our programs make a tangible difference every day, but we need your help to continue these vital services and meet our financial needs.

Our Programs:

Client Choice Grocery Store: Empowers families by allowing them to select the food items they need, promoting dignity and reducing waste. This program enhances food security and personal agency, ensuring families receive nutritious options tailored to their preferences.

Food Rescue Program: Partners with local businesses to save and redistribute surplus food. By rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste, we reduce environmental impact and provide additional resources to those in need, making a significant difference in our community.

Food for Kids: Provides school-aged children with nutritious food over the weekends, ensuring they return to school ready to learn and grow. This program helps bridge the meal gap that many children face when school is not in session, contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.

Delivery Program: Ensures homebound individuals receive essential food supplies directly to their doorsteps. This service is crucial for those who are unable to visit our facilities due to health or mobility issues, providing them with reliable access to nutritious food.

$50: Provides a week's worth of groceries for a family of four.

$100: Supports our Food Rescue Program, saving and redistributing 500 pounds of food.

$250: Supplies weekend food packs for 50 children in our Food for Kids Program.

$500: Funds our Delivery Program for a month.

$1,000: Sustains our Client Choice Grocery Store for a week.
