From NYC to the UK: Let’s Go

Hi, my name is Veronica, and I’m a Jamaican-American rugby player who just wrapped up my first professional season with the (WER) Exiles — finishing 2nd at the inaugural Legacy Cup. It’s been a full and demanding season, and now I have just a few days to get to the UK for a rare opportunity to close out the summer playing in the final tournament of the series.

I’ve been invited to play in England at the Lit7s tournament, one of the most exciting events in the UK summer sevens circuit. But this isn’t just about one tournament — it’s about visibility, momentum, and continuing to push my career forward with real intention.

Rugby has taken me from local fields to international stages — from the PanAm Games to the Olympic Repechage — and I’ve learned to show up fully, even when the odds are steep. From starting later on in my sports career and working my way up, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. But I’m not done yet. I’m still building, still dreaming, and still moving forward — and I’m reaching out because your support could help me take this next step.
