Hi, my name is Tyler Logan and I am fundraising for training, travel, and regatta expenses. I have been sailing in the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) for almost a year. I have been sailing for almost 3 years in a dinghy, but sailing on bigger boats since I was an infant.

Sailing is my passion and I live to be out on the water, on almost any type of sailboat. Currently, I am sailing about 20 hours a week. My parents take me to Kemah about twice a month for GCYSA (Gulf Coast Youth Sailing Association) training and I sail 2 to 5 days a week from RCYC (Rush Creek Yacht Club).

My goal in sailing this year is to get a placement in Worlds 2025 in LA, California. To do this, I am competing in North Americans in New Bedford, Mass in June, possibly Chicago Great Lakes in July, and at Balboa Yacht Club, CA in August. We also plan to attend Miami’s Orange Bowl this Christmas.

I am grateful for everyone’s support and especially my parents who have made all this possible.

Being involved in such an incredible community with the support from all the sailors at RCYC, past summer Coach Paula, Coach Israel, Vela Sailing Supply, and Coach Alex at GCYSA, I hope to train hard to make my dreams of reaching Worlds and one day, the Olympics, possible.

My plan with any extra money is to help the teams I sail for, RCYC & GCYSA, so more youths and families like mine are able to attend these events.
