Hi my name is Tyla Rose Simmons and my sister name is Tyra Marie Simmons. We both run track and represent for Bam University. I am 8 going to 3rd grade running 9 age group and Tyra is 6 going to 2nd grade running 8 and under age group.
- I Tyla Rose Simmons am a returning track runner that ran unattached last year in 7/8 age group. I was number 1 (one) in State of South Carolina in 400m and 800m and 2nd in State of South Carolina in 200m. I was also 2xAll-american and was 7th in nation in 200m and 8th in nation in 400m. 800m was incidental contact but still advanced to Jr. Olympic. I have a total of 64 medals in my second year as of now. Unfortunately, wasn't able to attend Jr. Olympics due to lack of funds.This year I look to go to the Jr. Olympics in Greensboro NC end of July after qualifying at Regionals here at Spring Valley High School Columbia SC June 27th thru 30th. (Any supporting fans local can come watch us run on 29th and 30th of June. As of this year I am number 1 in State of South Carolina in 400m(1:09), 800m(2:47) and 1500m(5:45)age group 9.
- My sister Tyra Marie Simmons 2nd year running and not placing last year to advance to Regionals she has done a tremendous job this year. 27 medals in her 2nd years. She is number one in the State of South Carolina in 800m(3:10) and 1500m(6:30) and 3rd in State of South Carolina in shot put. 6 years old competing in 8 and under age group.
- Friends, family, and supporting fans. We are asking for your support with helping TylaRose and TyraMarie to attend the 2024 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, North Carolina. Your donation will help cover expenses related to the trip (i.e., food, travel, housing). We are asking for your support to help them to achieve their goals of going to Jr Olympics.
