Hi, I’m Morgan Shute, and I’m chasing a dream that’s been burning inside me since I was a little girl: to represent the United States in Ski Cross at the highest level possible.
At just 18 years old, I’ve earned the title of the top-ranked female Ski Cross athlete in the United States and I’m proud to be making my mark on the world stage.
Some of my proudest accomplishments include:
-Two silver medals for Team USA at the Youth Olympic Games in South Korea
-Two bronze medals at the 2025 FIS Junior World Championships
-16th place at the 2025 World Championships in St. Moritz
-Overall Champion of the 2024 North American (Nor-Am) Cup
-Seven Nor-Am Cup wins
-Four Top-16 World Cup finishes
-2024 Swedish National Champion
-2024 Korean National Champion
-2023 U.S. National Champion
Behind every one of these results is a journey filled with hard work, sacrifice, grit, determination and unwavering belief.
Originally from Allendale, New Jersey, I have been on skis since the age of two. Traveling to the Adirondacks on the weekends to ski, I began competing at age nine. Falling in love with the sport right from the start, I began to hone my skills, and by eleven, I added Alpine racing to my training. While many encouraged me to transition to Alpine fully, arguing there was no real future in Ski Cross and a higher risk of injury, I remained unwavering in my dream: to compete at the highest level in the sport I loved so much.
That dream began when I was just a young girl, watching the Olympics with wide eyes and a determined heart. Even then, I knew I wanted to represent my country on that stage. Despite being told it wasn’t realistic and that I would never go far if I had stayed in Ski Cross, I refused to give up.
At 14, I made the decision to leave home and head north to Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine to attend Carrabassett Valley Academy. I left behind my family, my friends, and everything familiar but I never let go of my dreams.
I pushed forward, choosing the harder road, driven by passion and grit. I faced enormous challenges both on and off the snow in the years to follow. Yet, I continue to push forward, proving that belief, resilience, and perseverance can defy expectations. I plan to blaze a trail for future U.S. ski cross athletes, showing young racers that they, too, can rise to the highest level of competition. I want to be living proof that no dream is too big.
Now, I have my sights set on the World Cup Ski Cross Tour and a possible bid for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano-Cortina, Italy, ready to compete for Team USA in the event I've always believed in.
Competing on the World Cup circuit means traveling all over Europe, Asia, South America and North America. It means top-level coaching, training, equipment, ski service, race fees, travel, medical needs, physical therapy, strength training, and more.
To continue this journey at the level required to qualify for the Olympics, I need to raise $50,000.
As a Ski Cross athlete representing the United States, I receive no financial support from my governing body, U.S. Ski & Snowboard, and am fully self-funded. The burden is significant and will limit opportunities for me to reach the highest level.
If you are interested in supporting me on the World Cup Tour and on my journey to the 2026 Winter Olympics, please consider donating or reach out to:

Your donation, whether big or small, will go directly toward making this lifelong dream possible. If you are willing to support me, either through a donation or simply by sharing my story, I would be incredibly grateful. Your belief in me fuels everything I do. Not only would I be deeply honored to represent my country on the world stage, I would also be honored to carry the support of those who believe in my journey.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for believing in dreams. Thank you for helping me chase mine. With your support, I look forward to standing in the start gate representing the United States of America.
With Love,
Morgan
