In August 2024, I was laid off from my job as a Senior Data Manager. The ground opened up.

I had spent more than two decades as a software and data engineer, building systems, solving complexity, living inside structure. Beneath all of it, I was caught in cycles of anger, addiction, and self-destruction. The kind of patterns that success hides well but never actually fixes.

Instead of finding the next job, I found Ayahuasca.

What followed was 18 months I could not have scripted. 78 ceremonies across Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia. Nearly two months with the Shipibo healers at Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual in the Peruvian Amazon. Two plant dietas. Weeks in the Colombian jungle drinking Yagé in Putumayo. A VP offer from a fintech company was declined. A Senior Data Manager resigned. The path had already turned. I chose to follow it.

Along the way, I began writing a book. Ah Ha is a practical guide to human transformation rooted in Ayahuasca and the 7 Hermetic Principles from The Kybalion, the same framework I used to transmute addiction, alcohol abuse, and a life shaped by anger into something I can actually stand behind. It is 85% written. It releases July 15, 2026.

And now comes the final test.

On March 22, 2026, I entered a 70-day Ayahuasca immersion in Costa Rica. 40 ceremonies. Ten weeks. Documented live. Nothing scripted. Nothing cut.

This is not a retreat. It is a stress test. The question is simple, and the stakes are real: do the principles in this book actually hold up when everything is stripped away?
