Our local restaurants need business and Lawrence General Hospital employees working on the front line of the Covid pandemic need food because
their cafeteria is closed, and more importantly ... the outpouring of public support in sending meals to the hospitals has been a "tremendous" emotional boost to the healthcare workers while they face dealing with Covid-19 day-in and day-out. Through generous donations, we have been able to send meals to Holy Family Hospital Methuen and Lahey Clinic Burlington!
Fuel the Fight campaigns began and grew organically among people eager to help both frontline essential workers and the struggling food service industry. As a result, they seek to reach as many health care workers in their community as possible. To serve these needs, "Fuel the Fight - The
Andovers, Inc." was established by four Andover business women to gather donations that are 100% utilized via this "Go Fund Me" to pay
participating local restaurants for meals they deliver to the hospital.

Fuel the Fight (FTF) Go Fund Me campaigns use 100% of donations to buy meals from local restaurants which are delivered to health care workers.
FTF is a volunteer organization of professionals dedicated to helping local communities in crisis through creative problem-solving. Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, FTF began on March 20th in Philadelphia and can now be found in nineteen locations. So far, 70,000 + meals have been delivered from over 380 restaurants in the United States and London. FTF has been powered by its 75+ volunteers and over 5,600 donors who have contributed over $840,000!!
Inspired by a friend who started "Fuel the Fight - Concord" to help Emerson Hospital, and have nearly reached their goal of $40,000.00, we decided to start "Fuel the Fight – The Andovers, Inc."

FTF campaigns purchase meals for 25-100 health care workers per delivery. Restaurants are typically receiving anywhere between $500-$1,200 depending on the size of the department that they are matched with. They also receive acknowledgement via GoFundMe, FaceBook and the FTF
