Hi everyone-

We are organizing this fundraiser for our friend and an incredible athlete, Sahnobai Adhikari- known to his friends simply as "Baiky." (Bike-ee)

If you know Baiky, you know he is defined by quiet determination and unmatched endurance.

Coming from difficult beginnings in his home country of Burma, he is now a beloved running coach on Koh Samui, Thailand. He has dedicated his career to helping hundreds of clients overcome their own physical and mental challenges, pushing them to levels of fitness they never dreamed possible.

Now, Baiky’s pure passion for running is changing the trajectory of his own life.

He has been training in Koh Samui with unmatched discipline, reaching a level of fitness that most athletes only dream of. He is currently clocking times that rival some of the best trail runners on the planet. He is an undiscovered, world-class trail runner who has achieved champion status with zero corporate support.

Now, he is working toward the "Super Bowl" of trail running: The UTMB Mont Blanc in France. But to get to the starting line, he needs our help.

The Local Legend & The International Breakthrough

Over the past eight years, Baiky has become the most awarded runner on Koh Samui, accumulating a trove of 1st place trophies. He is known across the island for a simple fact: If you are entering a race that Baiky is in, you are competing for second place.

But in November he leveled up, winning the grueling Samui Trail++ 55K. This was the final leg of the prestigious 4 Kings Ultra Championship, proving his speed, technical skill, and endurance across multiple grueling courses in the Southern Thailand Trail Series.

This achievement automatically qualified him for the UTMB World Series event in Chiang Mai!

A Massive Leap Onto the International Stage

On December 5th, Baiky competed in the UTMB World Series Elephant 100K in Chiang Mai. This was his first-ever 100K race. To train, he ran a marathon for 10 days in a row.

He went up against a massive field of international talent- many of whom are fully sponsored professionals with support teams.

The Results Were Stunning:
  • Finished: 22nd overall
  • Field Size: 1,099 international entrants
  • Support: Self-funded, no crew, local gear.

The Challenge

That 22nd-place finish proved that Baiky belongs with the elite. And he learned what he needs to do now to achieve a top 10 finish in Chiang Mai.

A Top 10 finish is the "Golden Ticket" that will qualify him for the holy grail of the sport: The UTMB Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France.

Baiky has the heart and the talent, but in the world of ultra-running, talent is only half the battle.

Unlike established stars who have travel budgets, nutritionists, and shoe contracts, Baiky is doing this entirely on his own. To bridge the gap from 22nd place to the Top 10, and to fund the expedition to Mont Blanc, he requires focused, full-time training and logistical support.

How You Can Help

Unlike established stars who have travel budgets and shoe contracts, Baiky is doing this entirely on his own. The cost of competing internationally is overwhelming for an unsponsored athlete.

We are aiming to raise money to cover his essential expenses. This fund will support his training to secure that Top 10 qualifying spot, and subsequently fund the trip to France for the main event.

Your donations will go directly toward:

Travel & Accommodation:
Round-trip flight to Geneva/Chamonix, visas, and accommodation for race week.

Crew Support:
Travel and lodging for one essential crew member who is vital for safety and support on a 100+ mile course (mandatory for ultra races).

Recovery & Nutrition:
Physiotherapy and proper diet to keep his body performing at an elite level.

Specialized Ultra Gear:
Mandatory safety equipment, high-performance trail shoes, running poles, headlamps, race fuel, and apparel for extreme alpine conditions.

Pre-Race Training:
Travel and fees for a high-altitude training camp which is crucial for preparing the body for the mountainous terrain of the Alps.

Race Fees and Logistics:
Mandatory entry fees, insurance, and local transport/logistics during race week.

"Never Challenge, Never Change"

That is Baiky’s personal mantra. Sahnobai has challenged himself to be great, and he has changed his life through running. Now, he is challenging the best in the world.

He is a world-class athlete waiting to be discovered, but right now, his biggest hurdle isn't a mountain- it's funding.

Your donation is the bridge between his potential and the podium.

Please consider donating whatever you can, whether it’s the price of a coffee or the price of a pair of running shoes. If you cannot donate, please share this link with your network.

Baiky runs because he loves it, and he wins because he works harder than anyone we know. Our support will allow him to focus on one thing only: running fast. Let’s help Baiky show the world what he can do.

Thank you for being part of his journey.

Sincerely,

Michael
