Hey friends, strangers, and future fans
We’re Strong Work!, an alt-punk rock band out of Denton, TX, and this March we’re packing up our gear, our voices, and our bad decisions to head to Austin for an unofficial SXSW show from March 12–15. This is a huge moment for us—SXSW week is one of the best chances for independent bands like ours to play in front of new ears, new scenes, and people who might actually stick around for the ride.
We’re a 6-piece band, which means 6 musicians, a lot of equipment, and exactly zero desire to sleep in our van if we can help it. We’re raising $2,500 to help cover the very rock-and-roll-but-very-real costs of gas, food, lodging, and random chaos expenses that inevitably pop up when you throw six punks into Austin during SXSW week.
Why does this matter? Because we’re doing this fully independent. No label. No corporate backing. Just us, our songs, and the belief that loud guitars and honest energy still matter. Every dollar helps us focus less on survival mode and more on putting on the best possible show—and maybe convincing a few new people to fall in love with our music along the way.
If you’re able to donate, thank you—seriously. If you can’t, that’s okay too. Checking out our music, sharing this page, or telling a friend about Strong Work! helps more than you know. This trip is about showing up, making noise, and proving that Denton bands belong on bigger stages.
Thanks for believing in us.
Now crank it loud and let’s get to Austin.
— Strong Work!
