Fuel Rory, Henry, and Toby's Racing Dream

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Rory Pilcher, me and my two friends, Henry Gronnerud and Toby Jukes, have been dreaming of racing cars for years. Finally, now that we are 16 we have that opportunity. The 24 Hours of Lemons, a national racing series in the US, is a 24-Hour endurance race, based on the famous 24 Hours of LeMans, the catch being the cars must cost less than 500 dollars.

However, not counted towards that 500 dollars but still very necessary, is the long list of expensive safety equipment that ensure the safety of the car and drivers. This list includes professional-grade personal gear such as helmets, racing suits, neck braces, and even fireproof socks, as well as a roll cage, harness, fire suppression system, and other safety measures for the car itself.
All of these costs greatly surpass the naive assumption of racing for only 500 dollars but we are determined to compete by the Texas race this coming November. We would greatly appreciate any donations to help us achieve this childhood dream of ours.
