Fuel Paul's Journey to Recovery

Back in October my father, Paul Arena was in a horrific motorcycle accident. He was rushed from gf hospital to Albany for an emergency surgery in hopes they wouldn't have to amputate his foot.

His accident resulted with a broken leg, broken ankle, crushed metatarsal's and broken toes.

Paul has undergone 2 surgeries due to this accident and is now undergoing months of physical therapy. He is starting to walk with the boot without crutches doing everything suggested by the doctors. With weather getting nicer, he is in need of a motorcycle. Anyone who knows Paul knows the motorcycle comes attached. It's a part of who he is.

His bike was totaled in the accident and the case against the driver turning left was dismissed due to a dash cam video showing the driver might not have had enough time to see him.

Paul has been a body piercer for many years but was laid up for months with no clients. He also was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the town of Queensbury helping others never asking for anything in return. Any chance he’s ever got to do fundraising for a family going through a tough time or a friend in need he’s been there raising thousands over the years for others never taking a dime for his work.

He is currently not working due to his injuries and transportation.

When the accident occurred he was in the process of moving out of an apartment when he was hospitalized. He lost most of his possessions due to others taking advantage of his situation and physically not being able to move himself out. Also without a settlement or anything coming from insurance he had no money to be able to keep up with his other bike loan which resulted in a repossession. He still has a long recovery ahead of him (at least 6 more months).

He was really hoping to figure it out on his own as he is the type that always says “ I got it.” Hence why we have waited so long for something like this. If you can help my dad at all get back to feeling whole again please do so, even if just by sharing.
