Fuel Maxwell's Academic Dreams in D.C.

Hello everyone, my name is Kelly Ingram. I am a single mother of two amazing young men. As a mother, I have always tried my very best to give my children everything I possibly can. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my son Maxwell. Maxwell is a very bright 16-year-old with huge dreams and goals of one day becoming a Thoracic Surgeon.

Last year, Maxwell was invited to become a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Maxwell has been invited to attend Scholar’s Day in Washington D.C on August 16, 17, 2024. While attending, he will meet with college representatives, listen to speakers, and be recognized for his academic achievements on stage.

Maxwell currently attends high school at University High on Fresno State University campus, and is finishing his sophomore year. His current GPA is 4.38. Maxwell attends classes at Fresno State and is set to graduate with 30 completed college units along with his high school diploma in May 2026. He has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll every semester and has not received a letter grade lower than an A since 2nd grade. Maxwell received a Certificate of Honorable Merit “Maxima Cum Laude” on March 10, 2023, after he took the National Latin Examination. He scored an 1180 on his PSAT. He is also 1st chair violist in his orchestra and is teaching himself the piano.

Maxwell is the hardest, most dedicated person I know. Often sacrificing weekends and summers to complete homework assignments and studying. He is more than deserving of this trip. Unfortunately, on a single income, I am unable to financially provide this opportunity on my own. I am asking for your help to send him and myself to the conference. Funds will go towards airfare, hotel, food, and tickets to the event. I know money is tight right now for a lot of people and I’m not very comfortable asking for financial help, but please, anything would be greatly appreciated. To see my son up on stage being recognized for all his hard work means the world to me. Thank you so much for your love and support.
