Fuel Landon's Pursuit of Renewable Energy Engineering
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Landon Hartline, I have just recently completed my BS in Ocean Engineering with a certificate in Marine Materials and Offshore Engineering. During this program I developed an immense love for clean energy that can be harnessed from our oceans. With that information I'm reaching out for your support to help me fulfill my dream of pursuing a Double Master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering & Energy Environment. The program I was admitted to is: EIT InnoEnergy RENE; I will be doing my first MSc at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, which is ranked as the #73 university in the world. This program will open doors for me to be involved in invaluable research and gain an unrivaled education in the renewables sector.
While I have received a partial scholarship based on my academic performance and accolades in my undergrad, there is still cost left for me to cover. Being an international student presents some interesting financial challenges. I am unable to take out student loans or use any FASFA that may be available to me at my university abroad; this is why I am reaching to my community for assistance. Many may ask why I have chosen to go this route instead of staying in country and getting an education where I can use loans. The caliber of renewable energy engineering programs that are available to me in the US are not only a lower quality but are also immensely more expensive. Some efforts I have made myself towards this financial goal are selling my car, using my savings, applying for third party scholarships, and interviewing for internships to work alongside my studies.
Your generous contributions will make a world of difference in helping me cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, and other essential expenses associated with studying abroad. By supporting me, you're not only investing in my education but also in the advancement of renewable energy solutions that are crucial for creating a cleaner, greener, and more affordable planet for future generations.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings me closer to my goal and is deeply appreciated. If you have any questions about the work I have done during my BSOE or my research interests please reach out. Thank you for considering supporting my journey to Stockholm, and for being a part of my pursuit of academic and environmental excellence.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Landon Hartline
