Fuel L.A. Gee's Passion for Dance at Juilliard
Donation protected
Hi family, friends, and loving and supportive followers of L.A. Gee. Due to his hard work and dedication to his craft, L.A.’s hopes and dreams have finally come to flourish. He has been accepted into The Juilliard School of Dance and will begin his new journey this Fall 2024. Although Juilliard has offered him a nice financial package, we are still left with a gap to cover. FAFSA has given us little assistance.
As you all know, dance is a way of life for L.A. and he has made this his chosen profession. A career that makes him happy, that inspires and touches all that witness him in action.
Something you all may not know, L.A. has been dancing with scoliosis and it leaves him in constant pain, that no medicine can relieve. Tiger Balm has become his best friend. Scoliosis is a disease that causes the spine to curve. His curve requires surgery to correct, and would undoubtedly lesson his pain and put inches to his height. But, with this surgery his quality of movement would be altered. The procedure can be done at anytime during his life. L.A. has chosen to live with the pain, accept his height of 5’6” all so that he can continue to dance at his best ability. All so that he can continue to touch people with his dance and open his heart to them through dance.
We now are asking for your assistance to help make his path less stressful and hopefully debt free. We are starting the goal to at least get him through his first year. But realistically, we could use more. Your contributions would be most appreciated. Please donate and share this with all lovers of the performing arts and even those who just want to see a Detroit boy succeed.
We thank you all in advance.
