Fuel Kyra Zion Velasco's Ironman Journey

Hi, my name is Kyra Zion Velasco. I’m a sophomore at UC Santa Cruz studying Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology, and a proud member of the UCSC Triathlon Club.

I’m training for an Ironman because I want to inspire people to do hard things—and to embrace exactly who they are. Endurance sports have taught me how to push through pain, stay grounded in faith, and grow stronger mentally through every challenge. Training has helped me find peace in tough seasons, and I hope my journey can encourage others to keep going too.
