My exemplary son, Kahlil Larry Powell, just graduated from high school three weeks ago, finishing his senior year of track and field with a bang by making it all the way to the CIF Championships! Now, he's embarking on his last year of Club Track, and it's proving to be an unforgettable one. This season is the culmination of years of dedication, passion, and hard work, and he's aiming for a truly spectacular finish.

Kahlil has been on an incredible run! He recently placed in the top eight qualifiers for the Junior Olympics in both the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles in Sacramento. This success propelled him to the Region 14 Junior Olympics qualifiers at Fresno State, where he truly shined, securing his spot to move on to the 2025 USATF National Junior Olympics! At Fresno State, he took first place in the 400m hurdles and second place in the 110m hurdles.

Now, Kahlil has the opportunity to compete at the California State Club Track Meet in San Diego, July 19th-21st, 2025, and then at the USATF National Junior Olympics in Savannah, Georgia, July 21st-27th, 2025!

I'm reaching out to my amazing community to help make these dreams a reality. I'm on a mission to raise funds to cover the essential expenses that will allow Kahlil to compete at his best and represent his hard work in San Diego and Georgia, including:

Time is of the essence! The deadline for donations is July 15th, 2025, for the California State Meet and even sooner for the Junior Olympics travel arrangements!
