Hi, this is a story about a boy with a dream. His name is Josiah and he dreams to be a professional football\soccer player. Josiah has worked hard since he was a very young boy not even of school age yet and now wants to take his training to the next level and is in need of financial help to achieve this. Please take the time to read the story and notes from parents and Josiah at the end.
Josiah is a 13-year-old boy who has been playing soccer since he was 3 years old and has a passion and love for the sport. He is now playing for the PA Classics and is part of the Philadelphia Union PPP program. Josiah has had the opportunity to train with the Philadelphia Union PPP program, Pa Classics in MLS Next, Keystone FC in MLS Next, and the Platense AFA club in Argentina. During his summers he has trained at the Quintana Academy in Puerto Rico under the direction of Mr. Benjamin “Pito Cornflake”. He practices and works out daily. So, as you can see, this is not a passing fad, and he has put in a lot of effort to achieve his dream, and wishes to continue his training in a facility that is known to train successful players
The FC Andorra Academy in Spain is a 10 month session which includes the FC official season, residential living, a school program, visa management, sports and educational equipment, Spanish registration license, medical insurance, meals (planned diets to best fit each individual athlete). Training will include both individual and teams with professional coaches to work on individual skill development. They also have interpreters, psychologist, and a personal trainer to help them make sure they stay flexible and in shape. Their focus is on the general development of the players from psychological, nutritional and educational perspectives. The experience will allow Josiah to immerse himself in the day-to-day life of a top team, to showcase his talents to the club’s coaches and managers. With the main objective to improve and promote the integral development of the player, emphasizing not only the improvement of skills, but also personal growth. This will be an opportunity for Josiah to Network and get exposure with the correct people to help him reach his goals.
A note form the parents:
We have always supported our sons dreams to the fullest of our abilities and have done our best to support him now, but unfortunately this step in his journey we need your help for him to reach this goal. We have already paid the $10,000 deposit to save his spot and get the paper work started but need help with the rest. We consider any amount to very generous and appreciated and would like to thank you for any help you can offer even your prayers are welcome.
The following is a message from Josiah on how he feels this academy will help him:
There are many reasons why I think that it would be a good idea to go to Spain. The first reason is to get better at soccer. The second reason is to become more responsible for myself, for example cleaning up after my own mess. Another reason is to travel around the world. The next reason is to get new exposure to different playing styles, tactics, and the coaching they provide can significantly improve my performance and skill. Another reason is to get more exposure to scouts from all around the world. The final reason is to do what I love. Trust the Lord, trust the process.
