My name is Jayden Kiell I am a junior at Tottenville High School. I began my wrestling journey at the tender age of 5 when I use to go with my older brother to wrestling. I am presently a member of the Tottenville High School pirate wrestling team, it’s a sport I have dedicated my life to, I eat, sleep and drink wrestling. I think it is the most difficult, demanding, and rewarding sport there is. It’s the only individual team sport as you’re part of a team but you go out and battle on your own. I am the 2023 195lb freestyle state champion and this year I placed 2nd at the Greco Northeast Regionals. This has afforded me the opportunity for a spot on the New York State National team to compete in Fargo, North Dakota at the 2024 U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16u Nationals. Any consideration on financial help that can be provided would greatly be appreciated as I am (my family) responsible for air fair, registration, gear and food for myself. It’s an honor to represent Staten Island, New York on the U.S. national team at the U.S. National tournament in Fargo North Dakota which I hoped I am able to do so.
