Hello, I'm a mother to 5 children. My son Jayden is chronically disabled. He was born with a rare condition called CE; his bladder was outside the body. They had to break his pelvic bone, straighten his legs, and put everything back into his body. He had to relearn how to walk, and he was in a cast from his chest to his ankles for a month. Since then, he has remained with a tethered spinal cord, a mass on his spine, a colostomy bag, no rectum, and a hole that he pees from because he can't pee regularly. It's giving him a lot of kidney infections, bladder infections, kidney stones, and bladder stones. He has really suffered with the setup he has, and he needs intervention fast! Boston, Massachusetts, and Albany, New York, have let him down for a long time now. I had no other choice but to drive him to New York City to beg for help. Jayden is going to be having surgery on his spine; they will untether his spine and remove the mass. Then they are referring him to a urologist in New Jersey for his bladder needs. I have all five of my children with me because it was an emergency after being let down again in Boston, Massachusetts. I had no one to help me at that time of night. I'm 4 hours from home, I have no gas in my car to even go home for when we do get discharged. I ran it so low to even get here for my son. I have to buy a gas can to put gas in it. Parking is $35 a day; social work got me a discount for $20 a day, but that was all they could do. I literally won't be able to get my car out of the garage. If anyone can spare anything for food, gas, and parking expenses, we would really appreciate it so much from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you so much for everything. It has been a long fight, but worth it. Jayden is worth it; he's one amazing kid . Thank you all so much. We love you and appreciate you. God bless.
