Hi friends! I'm Terri Moss, I'm the owner of Buckhead Fight Club in Brookhaven GA. We are a boxing and martial arts gym that prides ourself on building confidence and physical endurance in young athletes and fitness enthusiasts through combat sports training and competition. But this story isn't about us, its about our little champ Isidro Cortes. Isidro is one or our stars at only 14 year old! He's won several state championships in USA Boxing as an amateur boxer with 8 years of commitment, training, and competition under his belt. He's been with us since he was 6 years old!

Isidro now has 20 fights and is one of the elite fighters of his age group and weight class, and to further his career he needs to go to the big national tournaments to help his national ranking and to box the best boxers in the country in his division. The only problem for Isidro is that big tournaments are expensive and require flights, hotels, rental cars and meals and gear to go. While some kids have all of the funding they need, our little champ has been held back greatly just due to the lack of ability to travel and go to these events because not all families can afford that level of financial commitment. Its hard for us also, at Buckhead Fight Club, because the trainers have to raise money to go and we have expenses with covering the training back at home while we are gone. This young boxer has the drive and determination (and the skill!) to make it to Olympic level boxing if we can get him to these tournaments. We just need help, and for Isidro, its worth asking, so we are asking for your help in supporting this young boxer. And we promise you, he's worth it! Above you can see a little clip of him sparring. This year, on June 22nd through June 29th the USA Boxing National Junior Olympics Summer Festival is happening. We went last year but the expense was so great, we just can't do it this year, but Isidro needs to go. We are raising money to try to get him to this tournament. In all honesty, there are 4 major tournaments each year he needs to compete in, and we haven't been able to make any of them this year due to funding. While we are raising money for this tournament, we need funding for all of them, so if any of you out there would like to sponsor a young athlete who badly needs funding, we would love to hear from you! These tournaments are extremely vital to the progression of his career. He has too much experience at this point to get on local events, but no funding to compete on his level, so you can see our dilemma.

For this years Summer Festival we are seeking to raise $3000 to cover 3 flights (Isidro and the two trainers working his corner), our hotel for the week, and a rental car. We can manage meals for him and our team. If you're able to donate, I personally give my word to post all expenses on this campaign so that our gracious contributors know that every penny went to his needs for the tournament. We will also post photos and videos and report his progress as he works through the fights. Even being at that tournament helps Isidro's ranking and gives him national experience!
