Fuel Innovation with Team 9027 Robotics
Donation protected
FIRST Robotics Team 9027 is a St. Louis-based FTC team that operates out of St. Louis Public School's Collegiate School of Medicine and Biosciences. Our team name is "Synergistic Effect," which blends our origins as a school focused on the biosciences and the belief that our collective efforts create positive effects that cannot be accomplished by an individual.
Over the last 3 years, we have deemed ourselves the "Strong and Handsome" 9027, where the team focuses on developing strong individuals who welcome challenges and learning while also being handsome, or caring about others and the impact we leave on the community around us.
Every year, students learn a variety of skills that they will carry with them into the future as Gracious Professionals and help bring a brighter future to their communities. Students learn and overcome challenges relating to:
- Design principles and basic engineering
- Programming machines to be human-operated
- Developing a team brand and identity
- Volunteering to help our community
- Creating mechanisms to overcome challenges with efficiency and ingenuity
- Programming machines to complete tasks independent of human interaction
During this fundraiser it is our goal to raise money specifically for
- Spark Fun XRP Bots to teach local middle/elementary schools about robotics
- 2 new 3D printers, allowing students to take more ownership of their designs and creations.
- New parts to keep our robot functioning and allow students to learn how to use new technologies
