Fuel Innocent's Journey to Johns Hopkins Master's Degree

Donation protected
My friend and colleague Innocent Grant has accepted a spot in the Master of Science in Public Health program at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the department of Health, Behavior and Society. He has received a scholarship from the school, however this is an expensive program and he needs much more funding to make this dream a reality. Innocent is from Tanzania so coming to Baltimore will be a huge financial difference and burden.

Innocent is a Program Director at Young and Alive Initiative, Tanzania, a local and youth-led organization working to promote adolescents’ and young people’s sexual and reproductive health. He is a recipient of the Phil Harvey SRHR Innovation Award and was a Mandela Washington Fellow, a leadership program founded by President Obama for young African leaders. Innocent is eager to deepen his training in the science of health education and health communication and health research skills. He plans to use his education to develop responsive health programs especially in developing countries and his home country Tanzania. Innocent has a special focus on improving determinants of health for adolescents and young people and seeks to engage with communities, local and global health institutes and organizations to develop and disseminate evidence-based health interventions.

As a Hopkins alumna, I can attest to the value of the degree and quality of the training and as a friend and colleague of Innocent, I can’t wait to help him raise the funds.

Any amount will help!!
