Hello! My name is Sharon Smith and I am creating this fundraiser for my best friend, Ginger Yarbrough. Ginger has a heart of gold and will do anything for anyone. When I first met her, she was a school bus driver and would drive my class field trips. She has suffered through a tremendous amount of medical issues, including having her bladder removed and two neck surgeries due to spinal stenosis. This led to her having to leave her job for medical disability. Ginger's mom has become her caretaker and helps to support Ginger and Ginger's daughter.

When she was almost healed from the second neck surgery, she found out she had cancer. She is scheduled to receive her last chemo treatment this week and begin six weeks of radiation. She is a patient at the John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus, GA. Ginger and her mom will be driving to Columbus and back five days a week for the next six weeks.
