Hi, I’m Ethan Righter, a photographer and storyteller preparing to thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail in 2026 — a 2,650-mile journey from Mexico to Canada. This hike is deeply personal. My grandfather once dreamed of completing the PCT himself, but his thru-hike ended early when a fire in Tahoe forced him off the trail. He passed before getting the chance to finish it.

I’m setting out to finish the hike he started, carrying his spirit and our shared love for the mountains every step of the way. This journey will become a film and photo story about human endurance, legacy, and connection between generations — proof that dreams don’t end, they continue through those who carry them forward.
