Help Eduardo Chase His Football Dream!

Hi, I am Eduardo Mayele, a 12-year-old aspiring footballer. (That's me on the right next to my friend Nigel who's on the team with me) Last year, my family and I embarked on a long journey from Congo, passing through Brazil before arriving here. With the incredible support of the Catholic shelter, my father, sister, and I found a safe place to call home.

From a young age, I’ve dreamed of becoming a professional footballer. After enrolling in the public middle school within the Lake Washington school system, I joined the Rose Hill JV team. One day, a teammate's father saw me play and encouraged me to practice with the XF first team for U12s. I tried out and, to my delight, I made the team! XF generously provided me with a scholarship and uniform to be on the first team.

However, this opportunity comes with significant costs. While my team supports me with rides to practice and tournaments, the expenses for airfare, hotel rooms, food, and cleats are not covered. This is where I need your help.

I am seeking funds to cover the annual costs associated with food, travel, and tournament expenses such as the Surf Cup and Nationals. Your support will not only help me continue to travel with the team but also alleviate the financial burden on the wonderful families who have been helping my family and me since we arrived.
