A 99-Day Artistic Journey to the Arctic—Join Me Virtually!

Hi friends, fellow artists, and lovers of wild places,

This year, I’m embarking on a 99-day painting expedition from California to the Arctic Ocean and back—an adventure shaped by light, silence, and discovery. I’ll be traveling in an RV through some of the most remote and inspiring landscapes in North America: Denali, Banff, Jasper, Glacier, Zion, and the breathtaking provincial parks of British Columbia, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

But this journey isn’t just about where I’m going—

It’s about what I’m making along the way.

One of my favorite recent sketches (see above) was from Tom Thomson’s cairn at Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park: a place I return to again and again (in my mind) for the sound of the loons, the night skies and the silence from the everyday world. As I worked, I thought about how meaningful it would be to share sketches like this from the road itself.

So here’s a special offering:
