Hi to all my friends, we are now in Ben's 5th Luge season and he is starting to travel to Europe this coming season. It is a pretty expensive sport in the Youth division since only later on in the Junior and Men's division will there be some funding from the Luge Organization. He started sliding in 2020 during COVID and fell in love with the sport. He has accomplished many wins since and has been Youth National Champion twice. He also won the Ice Engineer Race and Wasatch Luge Founders Cup. He has most of his training in Park City, Utah, and Lake Placid, NY.
As you can imagine, travel and training are complicated and expensive. So far, we have been blessed with being able to get him through all these seasons and cover all expenses and fees. This coming season 2025/2026, he will be going to Sigulda, Latvia, and Igls in Austria. He will be racing in Austria in the Continental Cup in Igls/Innsbruck. This coming season will cost a minimum of 13k, and we are hoping to raise a little of that. We are not looking to get all of it, but would be very excited and thankful for just some help with it. If you could spare a couple of dollars, even $1 would be amazing. Thank you to everybody who has been cheering him on and following him on the track. He has the potential to go to the next Olympics or the one in 2034 on his home track in Park City, Utah. Cross your fingers and keep cheering! Thank you to everybody. Susan and Mark
